The Foundation's five-member Board of Directors is responsible for acquiring, managing, and operating all real estate related to the Tau Chapter, as well as the assets of the Corporation, and are the voting members of the Corporation, with respect to all decisions regarding the real property and assets of the Corporation. The Foundation is the House Corporation that owns the Fraternity Lodge and Residence on behalf of the Tau Chapter of Kappa Sigma, located at 1002 West 26th Street, Austin, Texas.
Nominees for Directors, Officers, Trustees, and the Executive Committee of the Foundation are put forth annually by the Nominating Committee, a majority of which must not be current Directors. The Nominating Committee takes into account contributions of both time and funding to the overall purposes of the Foundation. The Executive Committee maintains responsibility for selection of Awards Recipients. In conjunction with Tau Chapter's Parents' Association, Trustees also coordinate an annual celebration (commonly known as Tau Trustees and Parents' Weekend) during which students and alumni are honored.
